How We Keep Our TikTok LIVE Games Within TikTok's Rules
TikLiveGames Team · · 4 min read
Interactive gift games are an official TikTok LIVE format, and TikTok's LIVE rules apply to every stream that uses them. We review and update all our games regularly against TikTok's official LIVE rules to help streamers avoid LIVE restrictions. No game can promise that, but these changes can help reduce the risk.
What we check against
We compare our games with TikTok's own pages: the LIVE Studio help on bringing gifts into gameplay and on small gifts, the LIVE Community Guidelines and the Community Guidelines.

What we changed in our games
- Gift guides are small, semi-transparent and shown briefly by default: every 10 seconds for 3 seconds. You can change their size.
- Neutral calls to action by default, with no "send a gift or…" pressure. The classic wording is still available as an option.
- Every gift action is optional and changeable: choose which gift does what, or turn an action off.
- No chance-based gift rewards: every gift has a fixed, stated effect.
- No jackpot, lottery or "win" wording, and the gift slot machine was removed.
- A streamer tip in every game reminds you to stay present on your LIVE.
- The AI is an assistant, not a host: by default it does not start or stop games or talk on its own.
- Test and demo gifts are for testing your setup, not for your viewers.
What is still up to you
The games can help, but TikTok looks at how the LIVE is run. Stay on camera or on the mic, talk to your viewers, ask for support in a friendly, honest way and keep your screen to the game. Our guide on TikTok's rules for gift games sums up what TikTok's pages say.
We keep updating as TikTok's rules change
TikTok updates its rules and help pages from time to time. When they change, we update the games, and the version changes page lists what changed in TikPilot and every game.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do your games guarantee that my LIVE will not be restricted?
No. Only TikTok decides that. We update the games against TikTok's official LIVE rules, which can help reduce the risk, and how you run your LIVE matters most.
Why is the gift guide only shown briefly?
By default it appears every 10 seconds for 3 seconds, small and semi-transparent, so the game stays in focus. You can change its size in the game.
Can I still use the classic call-to-action texts?
Yes. Neutral texts are the default, and the classic wording is available as an option.
Does the AI run my stream for me?
No. The AI is an assistant, not a host: by default it does not start or stop games or talk on its own.
Where can I see what changed?
On the version changes page, which lists the updates to TikPilot and every game.
